Welcome to our website. O’Brien Consulting LLC was established to help quality geocentric companies set up manufacturing and business operations in Costa Rica, Chile and other selected Latin American and European countries. This journey often starts with aiding company management with the thought process that ultimately arrives at the establishment of an offshore operation.

Since we are familiar with the medical device and high tech business and manufacturing environments, we thought the logical place to start would be with the medical device offshore hubs of Costa Rica and Ireland. Since Chile ranks so high in competitiveness, we thought it would be an attractive alternative to the other, more established markets.


ABOUT O’BRIEN CONSULTING LLC
John O’Brien, the President of O’Brien Consulting LLC was part owner, Chairman and Executive VP of Point Technologies, Inc., a full service medical device contract manufacturer, acquired by AMI Holdings in December, 2005. One of the key decisions the board made in 2004 was to invest in a satellite manufacturing operation in Costa Rica to support key medical device customers and grow the company revenue, profitability and shareholder value.

Prior to joining Point Tech, John managed 2 regional companies headquartered in Texas. That experience followed a career at a major Fortune 500 company where he was Director of International Marketing and Regional Business Unit Manager for Consumer Products. John is a Thunderbird graduate with extensive international management experience.
